Shehzad Khan jokes about his marriages while referencing the Aamir Khan school of thought

Veteran actor Shehzad Khan, a face instantly recognizable for his iconic comedic turns in Bollywood, recently peeled back the curtain on his personal life and his famous family history. In a candid conversation, the actor opened up about his father, the legendary screen villain Ajit Khan, revealing that his mother was actually the actor’s third wife. Shehzad shared that his father’s marital history was quite complex, noting that his first wife was an Anglo-Indian woman named Gwen, while his second marriage ended after his wife moved to London. Even more intriguing was the revelation that his father, who shared a 25-year age gap with Shehzad’s mother, initially kept his previous marriage and three children in Hyderabad a secret while courting her.

When the conversation shifted to his own personal journey, Shehzad kept the mood light and humorous. Discussing his own two marriages, he jokingly placed himself in the “Aamir Khan School of Thought.” With a laugh, he explained that between his ex-wife and his current partner, he still feels he has “two options” left to explore. The actor married his first wife, Rukaiyaa, in 1991, with whom he shares a son. He later tied the knot with Humaira in October 2008, and the couple has a daughter and a younger son together.

Beyond his personal anecdotes, Shehzad remains a beloved figure in the Indian entertainment industry. Making his debut in the 1988 classic Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, he went on to cement his status as a comedic powerhouse. Fans of 90s cinema will forever remember him as the hilarious Bhalla in the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna, while younger generations grew up watching him as Tiger in the hit children’s series Shaka Laka Boom Boom. His extensive filmography also includes memorable roles in projects like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Barsaat, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, keeping him a staple of Bollywood pop culture for decades.
