Trouble is brewing for the team behind the upcoming Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer, The Vvaan. Vocalist Sargam Vaish has publicly accused the film’s producers of using his rendition of ‘Aigiri Nandini’ in the official trailer without his prior authorization or consent. Taking to Instagram, the artist pointed out that approximately 25 seconds of his work—specifically the segment from 1:08 to 1:30—was lifted directly from his original master file, including his vocals and production work.
Vaish expressed deep concern over the unauthorized usage, emphasizing that he has already signed the track with a major music label. He noted that this infringement could potentially jeopardize his existing contractual obligations. In his social media appeal, the vocalist has demanded that the production team remove his music from the trailer immediately and reach out to him directly. He has also requested that if the makers possess any valid license or documentation for the song’s usage, they should provide him with the relevant details.
While the artist is seeking an amicable resolution, he has made it clear that he is ready to escalate the matter. Vaish stated that if the track is not taken down, he will have no choice but to involve his legal team to address the copyright issue. As of now, the production house, Balaji Motion Pictures and The Viral Fever (TVF), has not issued a formal response regarding the allegations.
