FWICE President BN Tiwari condemns the recent attack on actor Tiger Shroff

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a strong condemnation following the alarming attack on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a strong condemnation following the alarming attack on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai. FWICE President BN Tiwari expressed deep concern over the incident, which occurred on Sunday evening in Juhu as the actor was departing from a local football club. Describing the act as an attempt to spread terror, Tiwari emphasized that the federation, representing 38 film industry associations, stands firmly against such violence. He pointed to a disturbing trend of threats targeting industry figures, including Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty, noting that these repeated incidents are aimed at creating fear.

Despite the gravity of the situation, Tiwari expressed his full confidence in the Mumbai Police and the Maharashtra government. Drawing a comparison to the efficiency of Scotland Yard, he praised the local authorities for their capability and reputation. He urged both the government and the police to swiftly restore a sense of safety and normalcy, ensuring that both superstars and common citizens can move about freely without the shadow of such threats. The federation has made it clear that it will continue to oppose these acts of violence that disrupt the peace of the film fraternity and the public alike.

The incident took place around 7 pm on Sunday when assailants opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s car. While the actor managed to escape direct physical harm, his driver sustained injuries during the encounter. The investigation moved quickly, with police successfully apprehending the three accused while they were travelling on a train. A formal case has been registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. The suspects were produced before a court in Kota on Monday, where a judge granted the Mumbai Police a 48-hour transit remand to bring the accused back for further questioning.
