The investigation into the October 18, 2026, firing incident involving Bollywood star Tiger Shroff has taken a major turn. Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam confirmed that three suspects were apprehended at the Kota railway station on Monday morning. Acting on a tip-off received at 9:45 AM, local police intercepted the group at 10:17 AM while they were traveling in a general compartment of the Pune-Jaipur Express. Authorities believe the suspects were en route to Delhi with plans to flee to Nepal.
Preliminary interrogations have revealed chilling details about the operation. One of the detainees, 18-year-old Rehan from Sonipat, reportedly maintained direct contact with gangster Anil Pandit, a known associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The other suspects include 22-year-old Mumbai-based Rapido rider Hritick Kurmi and a 17-year-old juvenile, also from Sonipat. Investigators discovered that the trio had spent 10 days surveilling the actor, using social media updates and paparazzi content to track his daily movements. The group allegedly accepted a ₹50,000 advance to carry out the attack, claiming the act was meant to serve as a threat rather than an assassination attempt.
While Tiger Shroff remained unhurt during the incident, his driver and an autorickshaw driver sustained gunshot injuries and are currently in stable condition. Following the arrests, the case has been officially handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch, with 15 specialized teams now leading the probe. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis lauded the seamless coordination between the state police forces and announced that the Kota officers involved in the operation will be rewarded. Despite the significant breakthrough in custody, police are still searching for the weapons used during the attack.
