Bollywood star Tiger Shroff had a narrow escape on the evening of October 18, 2026, after gunmen opened fire on his vehicle in Mumbai. The incident occurred around 7 pm near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu, shortly after the actor finished a football session. Witnesses reported that three men on a motorcycle approached Shroff’s BMW and fired between five and seven rounds. Chilling footage circulating online suggests the attack could have been even more lethal, as one assailant’s firearm appeared to jam at close range. While Shroff sustained minor abrasions and injuries from shattered glass, he was later seen meeting Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde with visible bandages on his chest and arm.
The attack also left two others injured. Shroff’s driver, Firdosh, was struck in the left hand and taken to Nanavati Hospital, while a 35-year-old bystander named Umesh Chavan suffered a chest wound and was admitted to Cooper Hospital. Both are currently in stable condition. Following the shooting, the assailants abandoned their motorcycle just 350 metres from the Juhu police station before fleeing. Mumbai Police quickly launched a massive manhunt involving 15 teams, leading to the arrest of three suspects—Phool Singh, Rehan, and Hrithik Kumar—in Kota, Rajasthan, by the following afternoon. The Crime Branch is now handling the investigation under charges of attempted murder and relevant Arms Act provisions.
While the investigation continues, individuals claiming to be Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu have allegedly taken responsibility for the attack via social media. The posts claim links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, citing Shroff’s association with Salman Khan as the motive for the targeting. Authorities are currently working to verify the authenticity of these claims and determine whether the arrested men are core members of the criminal network or local hirelings. Given the connection to the Bishnoi syndicate, which has been linked to several high-profile incidents including the 2024 killing of Baba Siddique, security for major film industry figures is expected to undergo a comprehensive state-led review.
