A shocking revelation has surfaced in the recent firing incident involving Bollywood star Tiger Shroff. According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, the three shooters apprehended in connection with the case were not initially targeting the actor. Investigators disclosed that the group had originally set their sights on another prominent Bollywood celebrity, but were ultimately forced to abandon their plan due to the star’s high-level security detail. Seeing an easier opportunity, the shooters shifted their focus to Tiger Shroff, leading to the terrifying ordeal that took place outside a Juhu football club on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred around 7 pm as Tiger Shroff was departing the club. While the actor miraculously escaped direct gunshot injuries, his driver sustained wounds during the attack. Following a swift investigation, Mumbai Police tracked the three suspects to Kota, Rajasthan, where they were arrested while traveling on a train. A local court has granted a 48-hour transit remand, allowing the Maharashtra Police to bring the accused back to Mumbai for rigorous questioning.
The transport of the suspects involved a calculated ‘Plan B’ strategy executed by the Mumbai Police. Rather than moving the accused overnight, authorities held them securely at the Railway Colony police station in Kota under a heavy security cordon maintained by both Mumbai and Rajasthan police teams. SHO Ramswaroop Meena confirmed that the legal formalities for the transit remand are complete as the suspects are being moved to Mumbai.
The case has been officially registered under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), alongside Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act. As the investigation into this targeted attack continues, the authorities are looking into the motivations behind the shooters’ original plan and how they were able to orchestrate such a brazen attempt in one of Mumbai’s busiest areas.
