Sunny Deol is officially one of the biggest fans of Nitesh Tiwari’s latest magnum opus, Ramayana: Part 1. The Bollywood star took to Instagram on Saturday to share his heartfelt reaction after watching the film, urging audiences across the country to experience it on the big screen. Deol didn’t hold back his praise, boldly claiming that the cinematic adaptation is not only on par with international standards but actually surpasses Hollywood productions in its execution.
Highlighting the technical brilliance of the project, Deol shared, “I have just watched my Ramayana and I absolutely loved it. The special effects are so remarkable that you won’t even realise you are not actually part of that world. It transports you straight into that era.” The actor, who makes his own debut in the franchise as Lord Hanuman, noted that he is not just requesting fans to watch it, but asserting it as a must-watch experience for every Indian because of how well the entire cast has performed.
While his face remains under wraps, Sunny Deol’s presence in the film is marked by a powerful post-credit scene where his voice booms with the chant, “Jai Shri Ram.” Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film serves as the first installment of a massive two-part adaptation of the ancient epic. The star-studded cast includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The ensemble also features Anupam Kher as the voice of Jatayu, alongside Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, and Rakul Preet Singh. Produced by Namit Malhotra, the film made its worldwide theatrical debut on November 5, 2026.
