Shah Rukh Khan is one proud father, but he is also genuinely stumped by his daughter Suhana Khan’s latest social media flex. The star kid recently took to Instagram to share a glam reel of herself getting ready for Manish Malhotra’s star-studded Diwali bash. In the video, Suhana is seen effortlessly lip-syncing to the newly released track ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ from her father’s upcoming film, King. The superstar couldn’t help but jump into the comments section, writing, “How do you remember the words!!! It was so difficult for me because Ed sings so fast!”
Released just in time for Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday, ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ is already making waves for its unique collaboration. The track features vocals by Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi, with the high-speed English rap penned and performed by global icon Ed Sheeran. Composed by the hit-making duo Sachin-Jigar with lyrics by Kumaar, the song serves as a bridge between Indian melodies and international pop sensibilities.
Ed Sheeran recently shared the heartwarming backstory of how this collaboration came to life. During his last visit to India, the ‘Shape of You’ singer met with SRK to request a cameo for his own music video, ‘Sapphire’. During that meeting, the Bollywood icon introduced him to Sachin-Jigar, and Ed ended up writing and recording his verse for ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ that very same night. Expressing his excitement, Sheeran noted that having Arijit Singh on the track alongside him felt like a perfect union of his favourite people.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases in recent memory. Fans don’t have to wait too long to see the magic on the big screen, as the film is officially slated for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
