Bollywood turned into a giant celebration on Monday as the industry’s favorite superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, rang in his 61st birthday. From heartfelt social media tributes to grand fan gatherings outside his Mumbai residence, Mannat, the love for the actor was palpable. Industry stalwarts including Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Ajay Devgn led the wishes, with many highlighting the actor’s incredible physical transformation and enduring charm that continues to captivate audiences across generations.
Karan Johar was particularly vocal about the actor’s new look for his upcoming film, King. Sharing his amazement, KJo quipped that while everyone else goes to the gym, SRK has transformed into a gym himself, calling the actor’s physique absolutely insane. Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn shared a nostalgic throwback photo, reminding everyone that their friendship remains as timeless as their careers. Singer Harshdeep Kaur also joined the chorus of praise, celebrating the magic SRK has brought to her music throughout the years, while Shilpa Shetty and Sonam Kapoor expressed their massive excitement for his upcoming project.
The birthday festivities also served as the perfect launchpad for King, as SRK officially kicked off the film’s promotional campaign. Midnight at Mannat saw giant posters lighting up the night, and fans were treated to the first song, Tu Mil Jaaye. The romantic-action track is a major highlight, featuring SRK alongside Deepika Padukone and marking an iconic Indian playback singing debut for global superstar Ed Sheeran. Directed by Siddharth Anand and co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan, the film is already generating massive buzz ahead of its December 24, 2026, release date.
