Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is set to recreate his magic with actor Prashant Narayanan after a gap of 15 years for the upcoming film Naam: To Live Is War. The duo, who previously collaborated on the hit 2011 thriller Murder 2, are joining forces again for this intense new project. Alongside Narayanan, the film features a diverse cast including Veer Pahariya, Varun Sharma, Shefali Bagga, and Vijyant Koli.
Reflecting on the reunion, Mahesh Bhatt expressed his admiration for Narayanan’s unique acting style, noting that he is a rare talent who fully consumes his characters. He described their reconnection as seamless, highlighting that the script required a performer who could bring an unpredictable and fiercely authentic energy to the screen. Bhatt also praised Shefali Bagga for her raw energy and effortless screen presence, noting that her natural curiosity added a unique dimension to the narrative.
Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, the film is produced by Riddhi Chawda and Utsav Upadhyay under the banner of Utsav Entertainment and Productions. Producers Chawda and Upadhyay shared that the project has been an incredible ride, specifically noting the chemistry between the cast members. Director Sachdev echoed these sentiments, stating that having a legendary mentor like Bhatt guiding the soul of the story allowed him to focus on letting the characters breathe, ultimately elevating every frame of the film.
