The long-awaited return of the Khosla family has been pushed back, but fans have plenty to look forward to. The makers of the cult comedy sequel Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 have officially announced a revised release date, confirming that the film will now hit theatres on March 5, 2027. The project was previously slated for an August 2026 release, but the team shared the updated timeline alongside a vibrant new poster on social media, teasing fans with the caption, “Deal पक्की! The Khoslas are ready to take possession of cinemas.”
Nostalgia is hitting an all-time high as the sequel reunites a stellar ensemble cast from the 2006 original. Viewers can expect to see Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Ranvir Shorey, Kiran Juneja, and Parvin Dabas reprising their iconic roles. Additionally, Tara Sharma has joined the cast for this new chapter. The original film, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, became a landmark piece of cinema for its sharp, relatable take on middle-class struggles, property fraud, and family dynamics, eventually earning a dedicated cult following.
Anupam Kher, who has been vocal about his excitement for the project, previously expressed his surprise at the overwhelming response the announcement received globally. Reflecting on the legacy of the first film, the veteran actor noted that he hadn’t fully realized the massive recall value the story held until he shared the news online. He highlighted that the original movie broke through the cliches of Indian cinema at the time, and he remains confident that the sequel will capture that same magic and resonate with audiences all over again when it finally arrives on the big screen.
