The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has publicly condemned the alarming firing incident involving Tiger Shroff and his vehicle in Mumbai. Expressing deep concern over the safety of those in the film fraternity, the body highlighted that this is the second such violent encounter following a similar attack on filmmaker Rohit Shetty. FWICE has issued a stern appeal to the Government of Maharashtra and the local police, calling for a thorough, time-bound investigation to identify the perpetrators and ensure that those responsible for such acts of intimidation are brought to justice.
On the ground, the situation remains intense as the Mumbai Police have mobilized 15 specialized teams to probe the shooting. The incident occurred on Sunday evening near a Juhu football club when unidentified individuals opened fire, discharging five rounds. While Tiger Shroff managed to escape without gunshot wounds, he sustained injuries from gunpowder and shards of glass. His driver, Firdous, was not as fortunate and suffered a gunshot wound to his left hand. Another individual was also reported injured in the chaos.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the Shroff residence on Sunday night to check on the actor and his mother, Ayesha Shroff. Following the meeting, Shinde addressed the press, condemning the act as a form of hooliganism that the state will not tolerate. He drew parallels to the gang wars of the 90s, vowing that the government would take decisive steps to restore order and protect public figures from such threats. As the investigation continues, the state government has assured the Shroff family of full support and security measures to prevent a recurrence of such disturbing events.
