Megastar Chiranjeevi has taken a firm stand against the alarming rise of AI-generated content after a morphed video featuring Janhvi Kapoor from the popular Devara: Part 1 song Chuttamalle went viral. Expressing his deep disturbance, the veteran actor labeled the creation and circulation of such degrading clips as cruel, shameful, and entirely unacceptable. He emphasized that this is not merely an isolated incident involving one film or actor, but a growing threat that could impact anyone.
Taking to X, the actor urged the industry and the public not to dismiss these acts as harmless entertainment. Chiranjeevi is now set to escalate the issue by consulting with the Telugu Film Chamber and the Producers’ Council. His plan involves the formation of a dedicated committee and a support cell that will work in tandem with Cyber Crime authorities to track down offenders, facilitate the removal of illicit content, and pursue necessary legal action against those responsible for creating or amplifying these videos.
Beyond industry intervention, the star called upon both Central and State Governments to implement stringent measures to curb the misuse of AI for digital abuse. He also issued a direct appeal to fans and the public: do not watch, download, or share these videos, even under the guise of condemnation. Instead, he advised users to report such content directly to social media platforms and the authorities. He believes that protecting human dignity is a collective responsibility that requires the entire film fraternity, from technicians to audiences, to stand united against digital exploitation.
