Producer Aritra Das has officially pulled back the curtain on his upcoming Hindi feature film, Common Aadmi, by releasing a compelling pre-teaser. Marking the inaugural project under his new banner, Aritra Das Creations, in association with Nurture Rise Productions, the film tells the inspiring tale of CA Devendra Jain. Set against the backdrop of the 1980s, the story follows a determined man from the Pink City who defies his father’s desire for a stable government job to pursue his dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant. The narrative, captured across various locations in India by cinematographer Winston Joses, promises an emotional look at how an ordinary man can change his destiny by daring to dream.
This project serves as the directorial debut for Khushal S. Rathore, who has been lauded by the team for his sincere and dedicated approach to the material. Adding significant creative weight to the production is noted author and filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee, who has joined the team as a Creative Producer. Mukherjee, who shares a decade-long professional bond with Das, noted that his primary goal was to guide the debutant director and ensure the film’s visual palette perfectly complements its narrative. Aritra Das expressed his delight in having Mukherjee on board, stating that his creative perspective has added immense depth to the storytelling.
The film features a fresh ensemble, launching Anujj Anil Sharrma in the lead role alongside newcomer Sreeja Dutta.
