The sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati turned into a hub of nostalgia and laughter as Amitabh Bachchan welcomed the team of the highly anticipated film Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Ravi Dubey appeared on the show for a special Diwali episode to promote their upcoming cinematic project. The atmosphere turned light-hearted when Ranbir asked the legendary host about his own childhood memories of the festival, prompting Big B to share an anecdote that had everyone in splits.
Recalling the competitive spirit of his younger days, Bachchan revealed that Diwali was less about the lights and more about the noise. He shared that the main goal for children back then was to ensure their firecrackers were louder than those of the neighbors. “Sir, Diwali ki keval yahi yaad rehti thi, ki agar bagal wale ke yahan bomb phata hai, toh hamara bomb usse zyada tez hona chahiye,” the veteran actor joked, perfectly capturing the innocent obsession with crackers that many remember from their own youth.
Beyond the banter, the visit served as a major promotional push for the upcoming two-part epic Ramayana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film boasts a massive ensemble cast including Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, with Ravi Dubey essaying the role of Lakshman. Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios alongside DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, the first installment is set to hit theaters worldwide on November 5, 2026, followed by the second part during Diwali 2027. Fans can catch the full interaction on the special KBC Diwali episodes airing on October 29 and 30 at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
