Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi shine in the soulful Ramayana track Mangal Rang

The wait is finally over for fans eagerly anticipating Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus Ramayana.

The wait is finally over for fans eagerly anticipating Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus Ramayana. The makers have officially dropped the first track, Mangal Rang, across five languages, offering a breathtaking glimpse into the divine bond between Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi’s Maa Sita. Composed by the legendary AR Rahman, the song beautifully captures intimate moments from their wedding, palace life, and their challenging journey during Vanvas. The visuals are equally stunning, featuring grand landscapes and powerful shots of Rama with his signature bow, arrow, and sword.

To ensure a pan-India appeal, the song has been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The soulful Hindi version features the magical vocals of Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, with lyrics penned by Dr. Kumar Vishwas. The other regional versions boast an impressive lineup of talent, including Abhay Jodhpurkar, Saindhavi, Raghav Kaushik, Vaishali Samant, Armaan Malik, Bela Shende, Naresh Iyer, and Amritha Rajan. AR Rahman shared that his goal was to capture the pure, tender devotion of the epic, noting that he wanted the melody to be something listeners could truly feel.

For the lead singers, the project was more than just a recording session. Arijit Singh described the track as a journey into a space where love blossoms in its purest form, while Shreya Ghoshal highlighted the quiet strength and faith inherent in the bond between Rama and Sita. Beyond the lead pair, the star-studded cast includes Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios alongside DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, the two-part epic is set for a massive rollout, with Ramayana: Part 1 arriving in theaters on November 5, 2026, followed by the second installment in Diwali 2027.
