Mumbai court sends thirteenth suspect in Tiger Shroff firing case to police custody

The investigation into the October 18, 2026, firing incident involving Bollywood star Tiger Shroff has reached a new milestone.

The investigation into the October 18, 2026, firing incident involving Bollywood star Tiger Shroff has reached a new milestone. A special court under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has remanded the 13th suspect, 22-year-old Suneha Pandit, to police custody until November 16. Pandit was tracked down and apprehended by the Mumbai Crime Branch in Karnal, Haryana, on November 1, with the help of local law enforcement.

The brazen attack occurred in Mumbai’s Juhu area near a football ground, where assailants on a two-wheeler targeted the actor’s vehicle. While Tiger Shroff fortunately escaped the incident unhurt, both his driver and a bystander suffered injuries. Following the attack, the case was transferred to the Mumbai Crime Branch, which invoked MCOCA provisions on October 27 after uncovering clear links to an organized crime network.

Investigators allege that Suneha Pandit played a pivotal role in the financial logistics of the operation. She is the wife of Abhishek Pandit and the sister-in-law of Anil Pandit, an alleged mastermind behind the attack who is suspected of having ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police claim that Suneha’s bank account, which is linked to her mobile number, was used to distribute extortion funds to other co-accused. These funds were reportedly routed through an overseas cryptocurrency wallet managed by her husband.

The Mumbai Crime Branch emphasized that her interrogation is essential to unraveling the broader conspiracy and tracking down the remaining suspects. With this latest arrest, the total number of individuals taken into custody has risen to 13, including two other women identified as Radha and Babita. The high-profile investigation continues under the strict provisions of the MCOCA, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the Arms Act.
