Shradha Das is gearing up for her upcoming suspense thriller Gajab Raat, where she shares the screen with powerhouse actor Manoj Bajpayee. In the film, Shradha plays Neha Prabhu, a member of the Women’s Commission tasked with overseeing the medical care of an injured girl. The plot thickens as Neha is also required to keep a close watch on Nirvit, the character portrayed by Bajpayee, as the narrative takes a series of unexpected twists. Shradha noted that her character is defined by her poise and ambition, with her moral choices serving as a major catalyst for the film’s unfolding drama.
Stepping into the shoes of Neha Prabhu required a shift in personality for the actress. Shradha admitted that she worked extensively to refine her body language and speech to match the elegance of her character, which stands in stark contrast to her own natural persona. To ensure her performance was nuanced, she held deep discussions with director Ritesh Shah and producer Neeraj Pandey, stating that she prefers thorough preparation to avoid any confusion once the cameras start rolling.
Sharing the screen with a veteran like Manoj Bajpayee initially left Shradha feeling a bit nervous, but those jitters quickly faded. Contrary to his serious on-screen reputation, Shradha described the actor as playful and approachable. She recalled a lighthearted moment during their first scene when Bajpayee shared his secret to healthy skin—a specific breathing exercise he performs at 5 am. Shradha praised his mentorship, noting that he never made her feel inferior and instead gave her the confidence needed to hold her own during their intense scenes together.
Directed by Ritesh Shah and backed by Friday Film Works, Gajab Raat features an ensemble cast including Divya Dutta, Saqib Saleem, Akshay Oberoi, Kiku Sharda, and Nushrratt Bharuccha. The story follows a police officer who becomes entangled in an international conspiracy after witnessing an injured girl being abandoned on a Delhi street. Following the recent release of its trailer, the film is set to premiere on Netflix on October 23, 2026.
