Shah Rukh Khan celebrates 61st birthday with the release of King song Tu Mil Jaaye

Shah Rukh Khan turned his 61st birthday into a global event by treating fans to the first musical glimpse of his upcoming film, King.

Shah Rukh Khan turned his 61st birthday into a global event by treating fans to the first musical glimpse of his upcoming film, King. The superstar, who continues to dominate the screen with his timeless charisma, unveiled the track Tu Mil Jaaye, which highlights the sizzling chemistry between him and his frequent co-star Deepika Padukone. The song serves as a vibrant introduction to the world of the film, blending high-stakes drama with a peppy romantic aesthetic.

The music itself is a massive crossover event, featuring the soulful vocals of Arijit Singh alongside the talented Madhubanti Bagchi. Adding an international flair to the project, global pop sensation Ed Sheeran has contributed an English rap segment, marking an ambitious collaboration between Indian and western musical powerhouses. Composed by the duo Sachin-Jigar with lyrics penned by Kumaar, the track perfectly captures the highs and lows of the lead characters’ relationship, transitioning from cafe dates and beachside romance to hints of the illegal smuggling underworld that defines King’s narrative.

Beyond the catchy melody, the video offers a deeper look at the intense character arc of the protagonist. SRK sets the mood early with a sharp dialogue, “Main qaatil nahi, aashiq hoon, aur nishana meri mashooka, aur woh aashiq hi kya jo dil cheer na de,” before the visuals pivot to darker, action-packed sequences. The clip concludes with another powerful statement from the star, “Iss baar dil mein aag lagi hai, ab duniya jalaye bina manega nahi,” heightening the anticipation for the film’s slick action transitions and gritty atmosphere.

Directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about projects in recent years. T-Series officially dropped the video on social media, giving fans plenty to dissect as they wait for the theatrical release. Mark your calendars, as King is set to arrive in cinemas worldwide on December 24, 2026.
