The wait is almost over for fans of Thalaiva as the action-packed blockbuster Jailer 2 is officially heading to OTT. After setting the box office on fire both in India and overseas, the film is set to stream on Prime Video starting November 12. The platform confirmed the exciting news on social media, teasing the return of the iconic Tiger Muthuvel Pandian with the caption, “TIGER MUTHUVEL PANDIAN is back. RELOADED.”
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures, the film has already cemented its place in history as the highest-grossing Tamil-language movie of all time, raking in a staggering USD 86 million. The sequel picks up right where the predecessor left off, following the retired prison officer as he is pulled back into the fray when a powerful crime syndicate with international reach threatens his family. As old enemies resurface and new ones emerge, Muthuvel Pandian must once again take matters into his own hands to restore order.
Beyond the charisma of Rajinikanth, the film boasts a massive ensemble cast that includes SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, Ramya Krishnan, and Yogi Babu. The movie also features high-profile cameos from stars like Mohanlal, Vijay Sethupathi, Hrithik Roshan, and Shivarajkumar, with a pulsating musical score composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
