Even months after its massive theatrical run, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues to be the talk of the town among the film fraternity. The latest voice to join the chorus of praise is actor Nimrat Kaur, who believes the film has fundamentally shifted the audience’s perception of the spy genre in Hindi cinema. According to the actress, the movie’s commitment to authentic storytelling has set a new benchmark, forcing filmmakers to rethink how they approach high-stakes espionage dramas.
Reflecting on the film’s impact in a recent interview, Nimrat noted that audiences are no longer satisfied with formulaic scripts. She emphasized that when a story is executed to its maximum potential, it ceases to be just another entry in a crowded genre and instead becomes a standard-bearer for quality. “When something is done so well, everything better be at par or better than that, or else let’s not attempt it,” she remarked, highlighting how Dhurandhar has become synonymous with a new level of cinematic authenticity that viewers now demand.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar proved to be a historic juggernaut at the box office throughout late 2025 and early 2026. The film, which features Ranveer Singh in the lead role alongside a powerhouse ensemble including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi, shattered records by amassing over Rs 3000 crore worldwide. The film’s success, coupled with the critical acclaim for its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has solidified its place as a landmark project that has officially raised the bar for the entire industry.
