Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir in the titular role of Lord Ram, alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The project is a grand retelling of the ancient epic, tracing the journey of Rama from his life as the prince of Ayodhya to his ultimate battle against Ravana.
The project carries a sense of legacy, especially with veteran actor Arun Govil—who famously portrayed Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s classic series—joining the cast as King Dasharatha. During a recent event in Delhi, Ranbir paid a touching tribute to Govil, expressing his immense respect for the veteran actor’s contribution to the character. Ranbir noted that if he could achieve even a fraction of the beauty, truth, and dignity that Govil brought to the role, he would consider his hard work a success.
