Social media creator Nazma Shaikh has finally addressed the viral controversy surrounding actor Rajpal Yadav following the funeral of the late Mushtaq Khan. After clips circulated online suggesting that Yadav was asked to leave the prayer meet, Shaikh took to her social media platforms to set the record straight. She emphasized that the rumors surrounding the incident are entirely misleading and urged the public to understand the context before jumping to conclusions.
In a video posted on Friday, Shaikh highlighted the deep bond between Rajpal Yadav and the late actor, noting that the two shared a relationship akin to brothers. She revealed that Yadav had spent time with Mushtaq Khan just two hours before his passing and remained present throughout the funeral proceedings to pay his respects. Shaikh expressed frustration that these facts were ignored in favor of sensationalized narratives that painted the actor in a negative light.
Clarifying the motive behind her viral reaction, Shaikh explained that her anger was strictly directed at individuals who were filming and taking photos during the somber occasion. She felt that the gathering was a time for mourning and that the behavior of those focused on capturing content was disrespectful to the grieving family and the memory of the deceased. Shaikh concluded by requesting that the media stop propagating false stories and instead focus on reporting the truth regarding the incident.
Mushtaq Khan, who had been battling cancer, passed away on September 24 at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. His last rites were attended by several prominent figures from the film industry, including Sanjay Mishra, Manish Wadhwa, Shehzad Khan, Zaid Darbar, Sunil Pal, and director Anees Bazmee, all of whom gathered to offer their final tributes to the late actor.
