Marvel fans are preparing to say a final goodbye to the Man Without Fear. It has been confirmed that Charlie Cox’s Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, will wrap up its journey with its upcoming third season. The production for this final installment was officially completed a few months ago, and while fans are eager to see how Matt Murdock’s story concludes, they will have to wait a little longer as the premiere is currently slated for 2027. Amidst the final stages of post-production, it has also been revealed that showrunner and co-creator Dario Scardapane has exited the project.
Charlie Cox first stepped into the role of the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante in the original Netflix series, which ran for three successful seasons between 2015 and 2018. That iteration of the show famously launched a gritty, street-level Marvel universe that gave us beloved spinoffs like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, eventually culminating in the team-up series The Defenders. When Disney+ revived the franchise as Daredevil: Born Again in 2025, it brought back familiar faces including Vincent D’Onofrio as the menacing Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye.
The narrative stakes have continued to climb, with the second season of Born Again reuniting much of the original Defenders cast. Fans were treated to a surprise appearance by Krysten Ritter, who reprised her role as the super-strong Jessica Jones in a supporting capacity, while Mike Colter made a notable cameo as Luke Cage in the finale. The trailer for the upcoming chapters has kept the rumor mill churning, especially with the reappearance of Foggy Nelson despite his shocking demise in the Season 1 premiere, suggesting fans should prepare for plenty of flashbacks and dream sequences.
As the series heads toward its finale, the trailer teases a dark atmosphere where Matt Murdock has been missing for some time, leaving Daredevil to wage a solo war against Kingpin’s criminal empire. With Jessica Jones lending her strength and sarcasm to the cause, and Bullseye looming large after his prison escape, the stage is set for a high-octane conclusion. Kingpin is also seen stepping into a boxing ring to face an opponent, signaling that the final showdown for Hell’s Kitchen will be nothing short of intense.
