The Kataria household is officially back in business. Dice Media dropped the highly anticipated trailer for the second season of their hit show Bakaiti on Thursday, giving fans a glimpse into the continued madness of the beloved family. Directed by Samar Iqbal, the new season reunites the core cast including powerhouse performers Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chaddha, alongside Tanya Sharma, Aditya Shukla, Devishi Madan, Ritwik Nambiar, and Ashok Chavan.
Director Samar Iqbal shared that while the first season was about observing the family, the sophomore outing is designed to breathe with them. He emphasized that the show retains its signature humour and chaotic charm, while diving deeper into the characters’ personal heartbreaks and the unspoken struggles they face within their relationships. With the production support of Zee5, the team promises a narrative that is even more rooted in the relatable, messy reality of Indian family life.
For the lead stars, returning to the set was a joyous experience. Rajesh Tailang promised that the upcoming episodes bring back the same warmth and relatability that made the show a hit, just with a lot more ‘bakaiti’ this time around. Sheeba Chaddha added that the stakes are higher and the confusion is doubled, as the plot now features two Kataria families living under one roof.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to catch up with the Katarias. The second season of Bakaiti is scheduled to premiere on Zee5 on September 25th.
